UD Trucks unveils new Quester range for heavy construction
The Quester 6x4R-40T and 8x4R rigid trucks with hub reduction have been designed and manufactured for the Middle East
Japanese heavy trucks’ manufacturer UD Trucks has unveiled new Quester models designed for heavy construction. The Quester 6x4R-40T and 8x4R models with hub reduction are aimed at off and on-road use, construction, distribution and long-haul transportation.
The new models complete the heavy-duty Quester range, which was launched in the MEENA region in 2016. They come with reinforced front suspension, higher ground clearance and 8-litre and 11-litre Euro 3 engines.
Quester offers axle positioning available in seven different configurations such as the 4×2R/T, 6×4R/T and 8×4R for distribution and long haul, and 6×4R/T and 8×4R for construction and mining work.
Mourad Hedna, president of UD Trucks Middle East, East and North Africa, said: “For the first time we are launching a truck that is specifically designed, sourced, manufactured and priced for customers in the Middle East and other growth markets. The Middle East conditions are tough, with the varied terrain, high temperatures and payloads. To ensure the new models meet the needs of our customers, we tested the model in real conditions for over a year in the GCC."
