UAE entry exceeds Algeco expectations
Rental company enjoys successful launch into market
European rental company Algeco says its sales in the UAE were more than double it had forecast last year, far “exceeding its expectations”.
Algeco entered the UAE market via a tie-in with established player Byrne last year, and the modular space and secure storage rental provider says it expects to expand even further in 2012.
“October 2011 will signify the completion of our first official year of trading in the UAE and the results have far exceeded the targets we set in 2010; demand has been incredible,” said general manager Jim Muldoon. “We have a number of expansion plans in the pipeline for Algeco in the Middle East and myself and the team are looking forward to an exciting 2012.”
The partnership with Byrne has introduced its multi-storey structure 4000KD and Batex warehousing into the UAE and Muldoon said both had been well received.
“All Algeco products are designed and manufactured to European standards and are extremely flexible. This combined with the expertise of the team has proven to be an excellent asset for companies looking to assemble on site offices, accommodation or even retail stores,” he said.
