Himoinsa unveils natural gas, LPG and biogas units
Spanish manufacturer, Himoinsa, has unveiled generator sets with natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, and biogas engines
Himoinsa has unveiled a range of generator sets with natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and biogas engines.
The Spanish manufacturer’s HG gas generators have been designed to deliver lower noise levels, fewer vibrations, and reduced maintenance and operational costs.
The launch forms part of Himoinsa’s strategy to exploit increasing demand for gas-fired power generation, which – according to studies from Frost & Sullivan – is expected to grow by 10% between 2013 and 2019.
“Although in recent years, the main growth in demand for gas-fired power generation has been in the US and Europe, markets such as Russia, Turkey, UAE, Singapore, Ecuador, and South Africa, are experiencing a significant increase, and are importing more and more gas generator sets,” the manufacturer stated.
“After a long period of testing and quality controls, the company now works on major gas-power generation projects, and has launched its entire HG family onto the market, respecting all the requirements established by international regulations in the area of emissions,” Himoinsa added.
In a bid to cater to the maximum range of end user requirements, the firm has released its HGNG, HGLPG, and HGBIO gensets in a selection of series and models. Himoinsa has chosen to partner with engine brands such as Doosan, Mitsubishi, Waukesha, Man, Tedom, and PSI to power the units.
The gas-fuelled genset range represents the latest initiative from Himoinsa to promote methods of portable power generation that are friendlier to the environment. Last month, the manufacturer launched a hybrid unit tailored to the Middle East’s telecoms market.
Himoinsa’s HG genset range feature power outputs ranging from 20kW to 3.5MW, and boasts alternators and digital controllers that have been designed and manufactured in house.
