Zoomlion acquires Wilbert Tower Cranes

The China-based construction equipment manufacturer seeks to enter the high-end crane markets in Europe and America

Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology has acquired 100% stock rights of Germany-based Wilbert TowerCranes, marking its entry into the European high-end crane market. With the acquisition, Zoomlion also seeks to enter the high-end market America.

According to the vision of the new shareholder, Wilbert will remain a German premium-quality crane manufacturer as well as rental company.

Wilbert develops, sells and rents high-performance tower cranes. The company's 85,000-mt rental crane fleet was listed as one of the top ten in the international IC Tower Index. Wilbert's factory premises situated in Waldlaubersheim, Germany, covers 140,000m² and comprises more than 50,000m² of manufacturing and warehousing space as well as 90,000m² of open space, which is used for storage and as a test site.
