SSAB to showcase wide range of wear-resistant and high-strength steels at the SteelFab 2019 expo in Sharjah
The highlight products will include the Hardox 500Tuf, Hardox 600, Hardox Hitemp and different Strenx performance steel grades
Nordic and US-based steel company SSAB will showcase its wide range of products for the heavy transport and raw material handling industries at the SteelFab 2019 exhibition during 14-17 January 2019 at the Expo Centre Sharjah, UAE.
The highlight products will include the Hardox500Tuf for the tipper industry, Hardox 600 with increased bendability to offer more applications to the mining industry, cement factories and quarries, and Hardox Hitemp, a steel gradethat can withstand high temperatures.
Ozgur Yalcin, area sales manager, Middle East, SSAB, said: “SSAB products have unique solutions for each market segment considering their business dynamics. The biggest concern for the heavy transport industry is to increase payload capacity without compromising the strength and at the same time to reduce the fuel consumption as much as possible. For this segment, we offer our customers different grades and thicknesses of Hardox wear plates in the tipper body and Strenx performance steel in the chassis. For raw material handling customers, the main issue is wearing of the equipment and the unexpected stops in the machines due to material failure. SSAB offers the highest wear resistant steels to our customers depending on the application. The hardness of the steel varies between 400HB and 600HB so that our customers can control the wearing of the machine and avoid the unexpected stops due to the material properties of the Hardox wear plate.”
He added: “The Hardox 500Tuf, now available in the market, is opening new design possibilities for our customers. The Hardox 600 material offers unparalleled bendability to the mining industry, cement factories, crushers and quarries. The Hardox Hitemp developed for high temperature applications has also been successfully received by the market.”
