Video: Alstom demonstrates ground-based recharging system for electric buses

Alstom is demonstrating its ground-based static recharging system - SRS - for electric buses in Malaga, Spain. SRS for e-buses is based on Alstom’s SRS static recharge technology for trams, a proven solution already in operation in Nice, France. The conductive system enables the charging of on- board equipment automatically in a few minutes, on a bus line or within a depot. The demo of SRS in Malaga is part of the PALOMA (Prototype for Alternative Operation of Mobility Assets) pilot project. The objective is to create the world’s first operating prototype of an automatic, ground-level rapid charging system for a 100% electric bus.
